#646 Positive Fertility Affirmations

Infertility is difficult.

Think positively everyday and never give up hope. And when in doubt, follow these positive fertility affirmations to live by….

- The semen analysis cup is always half full

- A Penny saved is a penny earned unless you spend all of your money on fertility drugs. Then you have no money.

- Abstinence makes the infertile heart grow bitter.

- Blood is thicker than water and cervical mucus is stickier than honey.

- Don’t cry over spilt milk, unless it’s because you don’t have any breast milk. Then you can cry.

- If curiosity killed the cat, than the infertile can shoot eye pistols at the fertile who conceived on her first attempt.

- Don’t count your chickens until they’re hatched from the petri dish.

- It takes two to tango and eight doctors to artificially inseminate you.

- An infertile would walk on egg shells if all her eggs weren’t broken.

We all know that infertility is hard. But if you get stuck between a rock and a hard place, and feel like pregnant women are a dime a dozen, don’t despair! Sometimes during baby-making sex, you may feel like you bite off more than you can chew and you’re barking up his wrong tree but it’s sink or swim for those little guys. His ball is in your court. Practice makes perfect.

You decide. You can spend each day unhappy about your situation or you can start from scratch and believe that the sky is the limit. It’s time to turn over a new leaf. Get a taste of some new fertility medicine and put your best uterus forward. Getting pregnant might take time (Rome was not built in a day, you know), and life doesn’t stop for infertility. Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.

It really helps to stop for a bit to see the beauty that you actually have going on in your world despite it all seems hopeless from time to time. Some days are gray and then a hot cup of tea, the smell of the ocean, a talk with one of my friends or simply a smile from a stranger can brig my mood back up.
Infertility hurts, but during my travle I´ve learned to appreciate the small things in life.

Infertility IS difficult and anyone who hasn’t gone through this crisis doesn’t fully understand its impact. Thanks for this website and your great words of wisdom. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry. Some days are good, some days are bad.

The link below is a video/song by Demi Lovato titled “Skyscraper.” It’s an amazing song and I get goose bumps every time I hear it. I hope it inspires you as it has inspired me! <3

I only bring it up because the mother thought she was infertile before having a baby at 41, and I think she made a choice that I assume we all would just because she was infertile. So sad..

Great post, as always!!! I like the “two to tango” line, it took many people to create our little miracle boy. http://ivfsuccessstories.info/2011/07/is-there-a-diet-for-ivf/
