It is one week before your expected period and you truly believe that your breasts will tell you the answer. You give your breasts a better examination than a doctor giving a mammogram.

First, you check yourself out in the mirror to examine those boobies in all their glory. Your right breasts seems to be heavier than your left breast. If you had a produce scale in your house, you might try to weigh them (Do you?? Keep that to yourself). You think to yourself that your breasts seem more tender and sore than usual. You believe this is an early pregnancy symptom for sure. Your right side is definitely more tender. You quickly google “tender breasts one week before period.” You find a slew of google answers and a couple of tell you that you ‘might be pregnant!’ You may ask your husband if your breasts look larger. He takes a look but doesn’t give you the answer you want to hear. He thinks they look the same.

Yah for those google doctors!

You have never examined your nipples so much in your life. You check your nipples for color: are my nipples looking a little too brown or a little too pink? You swear that your nipple looks different. You also google “darker colored nipples, early pregnancy symptom?” The google doctor tells you again you might be pregnant. You love this doctor!

But then you get your period. Your stupid period.

Don’t worry, next month you will fall for the same trick again and examine your breasts to no end. How do I know this? My breasts feel heavier and more sore this month and I have done all of the analyzing above.

I am squeezing my boobs as I type this. :)

Yeah I used to do this but realized it was also a pre-menstrual symptom too so there was no point! It sucks. Anyway now I have changed my mindset – i expect my period, i never hope for anything else – that way maybe i can be surprised rather than crushingly disappointed :s

Good girl Jessica! Squeeze those girls!

Clare- it’s hard to lose hope though, I think we still have to have to hold onto a little hope.

ROFL I’ve been pushing on mine all day. But mine always hurt after I O until I get AF, so I just like pushing on them and feeling pain, reminding me that I Oed this month!!!!

BTW, I just came across your blog and I love it :)Keep them coming!

My boobies are so sore and I’m at the stage where I’m pretending I’m pregnant. Oh how I love this stage!

Found your blog today… absolutely love it!!! I’ve been married 5 years TTC for 4. I went off my meds last month because my DH deployed a couple weeks ago… he left 2 weeks after AF (right around when I’d hopefully O… assuming I did without the meds)… so I’ve been walking around feeling my boobs for the last 2 1/2 weeks because they’re sore (they always are but I always assume it could be a pg symptom). So now I’m several days past where AF would’ve been if I were on my meds but I’m refusing to take a HPT because I know its all in my head. So I just continue to poke at them and see if they still hurt and check the tp for any signs of AF every time I pee…

OMG, during my last 2ww I stared at mine for a long time in the W.R., I analyzed colour, size, veins, I was even tempted to take a picture everyday to be able to compare changes. Thankfully ny DH said is not a good idea.

Haha, I’ve been here soooo many times. Isn’t it an evil little trick that every early pregnancy symptom is also a PMS symptom!?!?! There’s even a website that helps you track (and obsess) over your TWW symptoms and compares those symptoms to women who actually ended up being pregnant! Yeah, thats was us Infertiles do for fun…

Ohmygod. I have done the same thing. Especially the “are my nipples darker?” question to my hubby. I never thought I’d be 2 inches from the mirror examining my breasts that way.

(By the way, I just found this blog so be expecting more comments from me. You rock!)
